The island of Catan is like a blank sheet, and it is your duty to fill it. Settlers (ie players) on a single uninhabited island, each building their own separate civilizations in order to become a dominant force and be able to call themselves "Lords of Catan Island". They will need to build settlements, build roads and build cities. With each roll of the dice, the island will offer you some kind of resource to help you carry out planned or unplanned activities.
