I probably don't need to introduce what "Game of Thrones" is. George RR Martin's saga "A Song of Ice and Fire" turned into a very popular TV series and an equally popular board game. The intrigues that take place in the saga, the political situation of the kingdom of Westeros is very suitable for a strategic board game. Take the lead of one of the six great families, expand your influence through diplomacy or force. You all have one goal – the Iron Throne.
The goal of the game is simple and clear – you need to control lands with 6 castles within 10 rounds of the game. If after 10 rounds no player has that many castles, the player with the most castles wins.
Each game round consists of 3 phases: Westeros, Planning and Action. The Westeros phase has events that affect all players. Three different Westeros phase cards are drawn and the events described there are played out. During the planning phase, a player assigns a command token to each territory he controls. These tokens determine the course of the game, which path the player will take. Will diplomatically agree with one player, attack another. Players can enter into various contracts with each other, but no one will prevent them from maliciously breaking them. In the action phase, all orders given are played out. It is in this phase that the great battles take place. But one thing you should never forget when you're at war, wildlings can invade Westeros at any time. Will you ignore it and devote all your forces to your own agenda, or will you still use some of your forces to defend yourself against the wildlings? It's up to each player to decide.
