Beer & Bread is a multi-feature card game for two players. Its clever structure of alternating rounds introduces a wonderful innovation in terms of player interaction, card acquisition and resource management.
Founded on the fertile lands of a former monastery, the two villages have maintained their dual tradition of brewing and baking bread. Even though they share fields and resources, they still pride themselves on their friendly competition, which causes them to try to outdo the other village's production.
Each player represents one of these villages. During the six-year period – which will alternate between fertile and dry – you will have to balance your harvest and resource storage, brew beer and bread, sell them for money and improve your production.
However, to win, you will need to balance your baked goods with your liquid ones. After six years, you will receive points for money, but only for the type of product for which you received less money. The village with more points wins.
