In the Alchemists board game, players compete to discover elements of the mystical world and publish their ideas in the academic world.
Each player is an alchemist who strives to publish his theories, correct them and thus earn money and fame in the academic world. There are 8 items in this game. Each element has three characteristics and each characteristic can be positive or negative, small or large. An item can have 8 different variations in one game. So how does an alchemist discover the elements? By simply mashing up the ingredients and making potions that he gives to helpers to try or even drinking himself.
The game is played in six moves. Players choose their actions at the beginning of each turn by placing their cubes on different actions on the board. Players can collect ingredients, sell ingredients, sell magic potions, gain knowledge by mixing ingredients, and use smartphones to test the results. Alchemists can use magical artifacts to achieve better results, but they are not only very powerful, but also very expensive. Money can be made by selling elixirs to adventurers, the quality and performance of which can be positive or negative. But money means nothing to alchemists, it is only a tool to achieve respect and fame by publishing their theories. Victory points are earned for reputation, artifacts, and correct theories. Whoever collects the most points wins.
Each game the correct ingredient results change, so this game can be played endlessly.
Alchemists board game is unique, immersive, fascinating, themed and very beautiful. It combines theme and mechanics very seamlessly, and offers the possibility of interesting solutions. And it's great fun for those who like deduction and puzzle games. Also good for those who find it quite fun to paralyze their student by giving them the wrong potion or blow up a lab.
