Carnegie is inspired by the life of Andrew Carnegie, who was born in Scotland in 1835. Andrew Carnegie and his parents emigrated to the United States in 1848. Although he began his career as a telegraph operator, he was one of the most important figures in the rise of the United States steel industry, making him one of the world's richest men and an icon of the American Dream.
Andrew Carnegie was also an investor and philanthropist. After his death in 1919, more than $350 million of his estate was donated to various institutions and another $30 million to various charities. With the money he donated, more than 2,500 free public libraries named after him were built.
During the game, you'll hire and manage workers, grow your business, invest in real estate, manufacture and sell products, and build transportation hubs across the United States, perhaps even alongside important figures of the day. You might even be able to become the most famous supporter who has contributed to the well-being of your country through your work and generosity!
The game takes place in 20 rounds and each player will have one move per round. On each turn, players will choose one of four actions that other players can follow.
The goal of the game is to create the most prestigious company, which is determined by victory points.
