Cascadia is a puzzle-like board game featuring habitats and wildlife from the Pacific Coast of the American Northwest.
In the game, you will take turns building your area and populating it with wildlife. You start with three hex habitat tables (there are five types of such tables in the game) and during your turn you choose a new table that is associated with the corresponding token, then place it next to the existing ones and then place the wildlife token on the corresponding table. (Each tableau represents 1-3 of the five types of wildlife in the game, of which you can only place one on the habitat.) There are four tables on the table and each one is associated with a random wildlife token, so you'll have to work with what you have. unless you have a free nature token, which will give you free choice.
In an ideal situation, you will place tables and create related terrains that will not be fragmented and create wildlife corridors, because you get points for the largest area, of each type of habitat, at the end of the game, with a bonus if yours are larger than your opponent's. At the same time, you'll want to place the wild tokens in a way that maximizes the number of points you get from them, which are determined randomly, three cards, for each type of wild. Perhaps hawks prefer to live apart from other hawks, while foxes prefer to be surrounded by many other animals and bears prefer to live in pairs. Can you make it happen?
