Deal with the Devil is a highly themed, competitive Eurogame set in a fantasy medieval era. Each of the four players takes on a secret role – a mortal, a cultist or even a Devil. Thanks to asymmetric roles, players experience the same game but with different objectives each time.
During the blind trading phase, players can offer their resources to other players for money. The devil will tempt mortals with various resources, for a part of their soul, while cultists sell their soul very easily. Only the auxiliary application knows what changes with what.
Be careful! Showing off how good you are can attract unwanted attention and suspicion from other players. Also, it may attract the attention of the Inquisition, who are very easily ready to punish those who cannot prove that their souls have not been sold.
There are many dynamic strategies to experiment with while playing. Will you sell parts of your soul immediately to help boost your city building capabilities, but risk incurring the punishments of the Inquisition? Will you carefully manage your loans and debt repayments, waiting for others to accidentally reveal your meanness? Every choice has consequences and every role has unique strategic choices.
