In the 18th and 19th centuries, shipping companies sought to strengthen the trade between the West and the Far East that had begun in previous centuries. Tea, spices, coffee and silk are highly prized commodities in Europe and their buying and selling prices are highly dependent on supply and demand. Wealth can be accumulated and lost depending on the situation.
In East India Companies , players control a large trading company that trades with distant trading posts in India. They will have to manage their own ships and invest in the shares of their own company, or the shares of their opponents' company. Most importantly, players will have to keep a close eye on the constantly changing market prices! Is it better to invest money in the stock market or in more goods for sale? Is it better to use fast ships with less cargo space or slower ships with more space? It does not matter what the players choose, their strategy influences and the strategies of their opponents.
