In Great Western Trail: Argentina , you will own a huge estancia in Argentina at the end of the 19th century and you will need to travel across the Pampas plains with your cattle in order not to transport them to the main train station in Buenos Aires.
Great Western Trail: Argentina features gameplay mechanics similar to Great Western Trail such as deck control, the rondel mechanism, and the ability to upgrade your player's board, along with changes to these elements and new mechanics.
The player board has a new type of workers – farmers – and different paths will await you on the game board and offer different choices during the game. Will you be traveling on a road past buildings or past farmers? You may be able to use your cows – or rather, the numbers on your cow cards – to help the farmers by attracting them to your side and adding grain, a new resource, to your income that is used for ships and town boards.
Maybe you'll unlock shorter routes that will allow you to get your herd to Buenos Aires even faster. Sure, you'll miss buildings that trigger actions, but maybe you'll catch others off guard and leave with the ships before they arrive. The time it takes you to reach the central train station and transport your herd has never been more important and valuable bonuses will be waiting for you in the tables of the city's ports.
