Prepare to enter the poor and dark district of Whitechapel in London 1888 – the site of the mysterious murders of Jack the Ripper – with its cramped and smelly alleys, vendors, homeless and dirty children in rags who run in crowds begging for money and prostitutes on every corner.
Letters from Whitechapel board game takes players there in 90-150 minutes. One player plays as Jack the Ripper and his goal is to kill five people without getting caught. The other players are police detectives who must cooperate and catch Jack the Ripper before the game ends. The game board represents the area of Whitechapel during the time of Jack the Ripper and is marked with 199 numbered circles connected by dashed lines. During the game, Jack the Ripper, Cops and Wretched are moved along the dashed streets of Whitechapel. Jack the Ripper moves carefully between the numbered circles while the cops patrol the intersections and Wretched saunters alone between the circles.
