Star Wars: Rebellion is a strategy board game for 2-4 players that immerses you in the epic conflict between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance.
During the game, you will control the Empire or the nascent Rebel Alliance. You will control spaceships, the movement of forces and try to win over various systems to your side. Each side has different victory conditions, so you'll need to adjust your playstyle depending on which side you represent. If you become the leader of the Empire, you will command legions of Stormtroopers, regiments of TIE's, Star Destroyers and even the Death Star, the largest and most powerful spaceship ever built, the size of the moon. You will rule the galaxy in fear based on the power and coercion of your vast army. To win you will have to find out the location of the rebel base and destroy it. You will enslave or even destroy planets on your way to victory.
Playing on the side of the Rebellion, you'll command dozens of troops, T-47 airbikes, Corellian Corvettes, and squads of smaller spaceships. However, these forces are no match for the Imperial Army. In the context of pure force, you'll feel completely underpowered and outmatched, so you'll have to cajole planets into rebellion and perform precision combat strikes to sabotage Imperial factories and gain valuable information. To win the galactic civil war you will need to sway the population of the galaxy to your side. If you survive long enough and build up your reputation, you'll inspire the entire galaxy into full-on rebellion and win.
The game box contains 150 plastic figures and two game boards depicting 32 of the most famous systems in the Star Wars galaxy. Although a grand game, it remains personal, imaginative and heroic. As much as your victory depends on your spaceships, machines, and forces, it also depends on the individual efforts of notable characters like Leia Organa, Mon Mothma, Grand Moff Tarkin, and Emperor Palpatine. As the civil war unfolds across the galaxy, these leaders are invaluable to your efforts, and the secret missions they carry out will remind you of the inspiring moments from the first trilogy. You'll be able to send Luke Skywalker Jesi training on Dagobah or instruct Darth Vader to set up a trap that will freeze Han Solo in carbonite.
