In The Princes of Florence , players attract artists and intellectuals to their palace while trying to become the most prestigious family in Florence.
Over the course of seven rounds, players try to earn points in a variety of ways, with the most points possibly being earned by playing profession cards, which generate "work points" that can be exchanged for money or victory points. In the game you will find a wide variety of professions, such as astronomers, organists or architects. Each profession is attracted by a specific combination of buildings, terrain type, and social freedom, and players receive these conditions through auctions. The more a player can match these preferences, the more work points they will get – but the minimum requirement for work points rises every round and so you need to meet the minimum to convert it into work points.
