The Wolves is a strategy game for 2-5 players. Only the strongest survive, so you'll try to build the biggest and most dominant herd by taking territory, hiring lone wolves, and hunting prey. But be careful, don't expand too casually into your competitors' territory – they may lure away members of your herd.
A clever action selection mechanism guides your actions. Each action requires you to flip the terrain tables corresponding to the terrain on which you want to perform the action. These two-sided tables mean that actions taken this turn will determine what types of terrain you can take actions on next turn. As you take actions to expand your herd's regional control, you will also improve your herd's attributes, allowing you to take more aggressive actions as the game progresses.
There are three mid-game scoring phases that count power in each region. At the end of the game, players score points depending on the VP tokens received during those three phases and the highest number of VP revealed in each of the 6 rows on the player's board. The player with the most VP wins!
