Carcassonne is a board game where players draw and place tables with a piece of the South of France on them. A table can contain a city, a road, a monastery, a field, or some combination of these, and must be placed on top of existing tables in such a way that cities are connected to cities, roads to roads, and so on. After placing the board, the player can choose to place one of his figures on one of the zones on it: on the city as a knight, on the road as a thief, on the monastery as a monk, or on the field as a farmer. Completing a zone earns points for its owner.
