The old Jarl is dead and the once prosperous port has sunk into a catastrophic state. Horrible creatures attack in flocks, bringing chaos and destroying everything. Draugr terrorize neighboring villages. Trolls are attacking the city. Monsters attack travelers and merchants. People are suffering, but you can become their champion. Champions of Midgard is a strategic, moderate board game for 2-4 players. A Viking-themed, worker-based puzzle and dice game where you become the leader of a Viking clan that has arrived at a besieged Viking port and must defend it against trolls, friends and other mythical Norse beasts. Defeating these majestic creatures will earn you glory and the favor of the gods. At the end of the game, the one with the most glory will receive the title of Jarl and be recognized as the champion of Midgard. By placing workers, you will collect resources and soldiers, which you can then send to neighboring villages or across the sea to defeat monsters and collect more glory needed for victory. Resources are used to carve runes, build ships and feed your followers, and Viking warriors (special dice) will fight the many enemies attacking the city.
