This classic pure negotiation game has been released in many forms over the years.
In the game, players represent one of the seven great European powers (United Kingdom, France, Austria-Hungary, Germany, Italy, Russia, or the Ottoman Empire) in the years before World War I. The game begins in the spring of 1901, and over the course of a year, players make spring and fall moves. You will find two types of military units in the game: armies and navies. During the turn, each military unit has limited options: it can move into a neighboring territory, support a friendly unit to defend a neighboring territory, or hold a position. Players operate their units by writing down a list of "orders". The outcome of each move is determined by the rules of the game. There are no dice rolls or other elements of luck. With simple movement mechanics combined with an important negotiation system, the game is respected by many players.
