This expansion adds two new factions, CHOAM and the Richese family, to the Dune board game, along with two new variants.
Combine Honnete Over Advanced Mercantiles, or CHOAM, controls much of the economy in space and has interests in Arrakis that extend beyond the production of the species. Due to its control of interstellar trade, CHOAM is the greatest source of wealth in the entire Empire, both for those who want dividends and those who want high profits. CHOAM leaders and bureaucrats are dedicated to controlling important products and enriching the Great Houses… and CHOAM itself.
The Richese family, as Ixians, have earned a reputation for their cunning and invention of important technology. But Count Ilban Richese made several business mistakes that nearly bankrupted his family. Removed from control of Arrakis, Richese is reduced to selling important inventions just to raise enough money to compete.
This expansion also introduces Leader Skills, which allow leaders to assign abilities such as Mentat, Swordmaster of Ginaz, or Prana Bindu Adept. You'll also find Advanced Stronghold cards that give you an advantage in combat in a stronghold you control.
