In Galaxy Trucker , a fast and fun family game, players start by navigating a shared warehouse pile at a time, quickly trying to grab the best parts to build their spaceship – all in real time.
As the spaceships depart, players face dangerous situations as they compete for profit opportunities, each aiming to find the most profitable cargo and complete the journey with as many spaceships intact as possible. Of course, this is easier said than done, as there are many dangers involved in launching parts of your ship, your cargo, and your crew into open space.
The goal is to survive the voyage, presumably with at least some crew and ship healthy, and have at least one credit at the end of the game (Profit, yay!). Players earn credits by delivering cargo, defeating pirates, having the best looking ships and reaching their destination first.
This version of Galaxy Trucker is a remaster of the 2007 edition by Vlaada Chvatil, with new artwork, more ship parts, revised card effects, and improved game mechanics culminating in a single space flight. However, if you want a longer or more difficult game experience, you can play a three-flight mode called Transgalactic Trek
