The railroads were built even further north, which opened up new opportunities for you to transport your cattle even further than before, even to cities beyond the American borders. These areas can be extremely rewarding, but will require work and effort, such as building new buildings, to access these new opportunities and earn different rewards.
Much of the content in Great Western Trail: Rails to the North (Second Edition) was found in the original Rails to the North expansion, but it has been reworked and improved, the player board is double-layered, the expansion of the game board has different rail routes, and changed mediums city tables. The expansion also features new objective cards, changed buildings, new changes to solo mode, and a new type of orange cow.
