Your goal is to be the first to score 20 points or kill other monsters. During your turn, you will roll 6 dice three times and perform the actions indicated on them. Claws deal damage to other monsters, hearts heal you, and energy builds up and can be spent to buy power-up cards that only you get the effect of. New in King of New York , it's a chance to become a star in the big city, you can accumulate fame that will help you get more points. The game board is larger than in King of Tokyo , each monster occupies a certain area, but everyone is trying to get to Manhattan. When attacking, you can move your monster to another area to escape the troops or destroy more buildings, which will give you additional bonuses, but will also increase the military response.
