At the height of its power, the Roman Empire ruled over two million square miles of territory and over one hundred million people. During the centuries of its existence, the Empire made many discoveries and inventions in the fields of engineering, architecture, science, art and literature. By the early 5th century, decades of political corruption, economic crises, and a stretched military had left their mark on the Empire's stability. This paved the way for invasions by aggressive barbarian tribes that led to a crisis that Rome could not stop. Now the citizens, soldiers and allies of Rome must unite and protect the Empire.
Combining the cooperative gameplay mechanics of Pandemic with innovative new mechanics, Pandemic: Fall of Rome takes players back in time to history's greatest empire: Rome. The weakened army left the borders open to invasions from many barbarian tribes such as the Anglo-Saxons, Goths, Vandals and Huns. As you march through the Empire, you'll recruit armies, fortify cities, form alliances, and engage in battles with invading hordes.
