A long time ago, in time immemorial, the emperor of China offered a giant panda as a symbol of peace to the emperor of Japan. From then on, the Emperor of Japan entrusted his courtiers (players) to take care of her and grow bamboo for her.
In this game, players expand farmland, irrigate it, and grow one of three types of bamboo (green, yellow, or pink) with the help of a royal gardener who oversees the bamboo plantations. During their turn, the player who rolls the weather die takes two of the 5 possible actions: plant bamboo, water bamboo, move the gardener, move the panda that eats any bamboo it comes across, or draw a new secret task. The player who takes the best care of their land, grows the most bamboo, while still feeding the hungry panda, will win the game.
