The version of Ticket to Ride: First Journey is aimed at younger board game fans.
Players collect train cards, build tracks on the map and try to connect the cities indicated on their cards with tracks. On the map, European cities are connected by routes of different colors. Players start the game with four colored train cards and two tickets that list the cities that the player must connect in order to fulfill the conditions on the ticket.
During the turn, the player draws two train cards or discards train cards to connect two cities by rail. In order to connect cities, the player must discard cards whose color and number of squares match the desired railway section (eg: to connect a yellow section that is two squares long, the player must discard two yellow cards). After connecting two cities that are indicated on the available ticket, the player opens the ticket card and puts it in front of him, then draws a new ticket from the ticket deck (if the path indicated on the ticket is blocked by another player, then the owner of the ticket can skip the available tickets, and from ticket decks to draw two new tickets. The player who connects the city on the west side (Dublin, Brest or Madrid) with the city on the east side (Moscow, Rostov or Ankara) gets the ticket of the player who won the open continent.
The first player to collect six open tickets in front of him wins the game. Another game-ending condition: After at least one player has used all twenty of their trains, the player with the most tickets wins the game.
