The game works on the innovative mechanics of rolling dice combinations. The number of dice rolled is determined by the strength of your galaxy. Each die has symbols representing your various possible actions, such as moving spaceships, raising cultural or energy resources, or improving political or economic influence on discovered planets.
With careful planning, you'll need to make the most of your turn, taking the possible actions in a sequence that works for you. But be careful, because every opponent can choose to follow your every move, spending valuable resources. This means that it can always be your turn, even during another player's turn.
