Inspired by the all-familiar and award-winning War of the Ring board game, War of the Ring – The Card Game immerses players in the story of The Lord of the Rings. The game will let you explore your own version of the trilogy using uniquely designed decks of cards that represent the strengths and weaknesses of the people and characters who fought in the War of the Ring.
The first expansion, Against the Shadow, will allow players to experience the adventure alone or in co-op. The player(s) will control the Free Peoples using the normal rules and cards found in War of the Ring – The Card Game.
Automated players will control Shadow using new decks that completely replace the cards found in the main edition and are made for solo/co-op play. Along with a simple scheme, the new Shadow decks provide a complex challenge for one or two players.
